Computer Information -Web Design/Database Specialist

The objective of this program is to prepare graduates for entry-level positions in the web design/management and database fields. Skills emphasized are in the design and development of websites and databases. Students will be working with web programming, graphics packages to design websites, managing databases, using hardware in modern offices, word processing, spreadsheet management, and presentation software.

The general education component is designed to enhance these technical skills by adding broad-based problem-solving and human relation insights. The normal program length is 18 months of instruction. Upon successful completion of all graduation requirements, graduates are awarded an Associate Degree in Specialized Business in Computer Information – Web Design/Database Specialist.

Computer Information - Web Design/Database Specialist graduates should have the knowledge and skills necessary to pursue employment opportunities in the microcomputer/ telecommunications industry. Graduates can be prepared to work in entry-level positions in any business that has a need for a web developer, webmaster, database manager or trainee.
